The Coalition of Community Health and Resource Centres of Ottawa encourages and supports the involvement of volunteers in a variety of programs, services and activities. Volunteers are an integral part of the way centres succeed in getting their work done!
Are you interested in finding out more about volunteer opportunities within individual CHRCs? Each centre has their own unique process, application form and screening requirements.

Good Food Box Packing Day Volunteers
The Good Food Box Packer packs boxes of fresh fruit and vegetables once a month for delivery to neighbourhood sites. Note : Packing day takes place in a warehouse in an East end industrial park, accessible by bus.

Parent and Child Drop-In Volunteer
The Parent Child Drop-in is a free playgroup for families, caregivers and children. and provides the opportunity to discover new toys, develop skills and make new friends. As a valuable volunteer you will provide a welcoming and supportive environment for children and parents/caregivers.

Requirements
- Friendly, outgoing and enjoys interacting with parents/caregivers and children
- Respect the goals set out for the group by facilitator
- Comfortable working in a busy child play environment
- Respectful of parents and children of other cultures and traditions
- Available on: Wednesday-9:00 am - 12:30 pm

- Services for Seniors & Adults with Physical Disabilities
- Provide assistance, companionship and encouragement in a group setting for adults with varying degrees of dementia and Alzheimer’s, to help them achieve and maintain their maximum level of functioning
- To prevent premature and inappropriate institutionalization
- Provide respite for caregivers.
